In the 1990s, a cemetery and a part of a settlement were located at the Liatovouni site in Konitsa, at the confluence of the Aoos River with the Voidomatis River.

The burials (103) covered a period from the end of the Late Bronze Age to the beginning of the 4th century BC. The majority dates from the 7th-5th century BC. The earliest period was represented by a male burial (T59), as well as surface findings of disturbed burials. Most graves were pit graves and covered with soil and a cobblestone pile (stone tumulus), which was marking the grave. No case of cremation was/has been found. A cist-grave, a burial in a pithos, and three tile-roofed graves (Roman period) were excavated. The deceased were laid in a supine extended position, with an E-W orientation, and furnished with clay and bronze vessels, metal weapons and jewelry.

The settlement was found north of the cemetery. The remains of curvilinear and rectangular cobblestone walls belong to platforms on which the wooden and clay-plastered walls of the houses were supported.
